But the experience that I cherished the most and which eventually leaded me to write this whole text was the way in which this lady inside the room took control of the situation. She was looking into us with total calm and clarity, giving instructions in a paused and comprehensive way.

There was such a sense of space between her and us, she was so careful in articulating every word looking us directly into the eyes and performing safe and calm moves while talking to us. I personally felt as if she would be very interested in us, not as actors or potential employees, but as human beings, as living biographies. I felt that she was looking into my inner world and was completely aware of who I was. Giving me at the same time a sense of protection and encouragement aimed to extract the best of me.

Later that day I described my experience to a friend of mine who is an actress and she told me that this was something that film directors have, a quality of attention that connects deeply with the actors and enable them to do marvels.
